I studied what is called "teknisk fysik", which is a five-year engineering degree/master+bachelor course in math, physics and computer science at KTH, the royal institute of technology in Stockholm.
The first three years are mandatory, and then there's a choice of master's degree. I took the master's course in mathematics and particularly I was interested in algebra and topology.
I was in Munich for my master's thesis, which was on étale homotopy, a field where homotopy theory is applied to algebraic geometry. Supervisors were Fabien Morel (LMU) and David Rydh (KTH).
Some courses ive taken:
- the mandatory courses for my program, see below
- extended differential equations and complex analysis
- fundamentals of analysis
- groups and rings
- topology
- category theory reading course (t. bauer)
- bachelor thesis, on gröbner bases together with i. zotov, supervisor t. bauer
- category theory
- commutative algebra and algebraic geometry
- theory and methodology of science
- mathematical communication
- reading course in homotopy type theory (p. lumsdaine)
i was in munich 2015-16 and took these courses at the lmu:
- differential geometry
- elliptic curves
- algebraic number theory
- class field theory and galois cohomology
- topology 2
- proof theory
- homological algebra seminar (f. morel; i gave an 1 hour talk on group co-/homology)
- german, B2 level
other things included in my program, by some kind of categorisation
- the mandatory math courses: calculus, several variable calculus, vector calculus, linear algebra, complex analysis, ode, pde, transforms, probability theory and statistics
- object-oriented program construction (java), numerical methods (matlab), fundamentals of programming (python)
- automatic control
- solid mechanics
- thermodynamics, quantum physics, statistical physics, solid state physics
- classical physics (waves, optics, circuits..), modern physics (lasers, particles, relativity..)
- classical mechanics, electromagnetic theory, fluid mechanics
